French Mauve Reddish, Bluish |
cobalt violet + cobalt blue + titanium-zinc white |
These two delicate violet tints were made with the beautiful violets of the Impressionist palette in mind. With the development of synthetic pigments and dyes in the 19th century, new violets became the rage, though not all were permanent. The reddish has a lilac hue, the bluish leans toward lavender. Both colors are mixes of Cobalt Violet, Cobalt Blue, and white. |
