R&F's Core Support Program

July 28, 2015 - Written by  Heather Roberts

In January 2016 R&F launched the Core Support Program with six of R&F's committed artist/instructors including Michelle Belto (TX), Leslie Giuliani (CT), Cari Hernandez (CA), Lisa Pressman (NJ), Julie Snidle (MO|MN) and Caryl St. Ama (CA). In 2017 we added Dietlind Vander Schaaf (ME) to our roster of partner instructors. We recognized the need to expand and improve on the existing demo and workshop offerings; to reach a wider geographic area by working directly with local artists in their home areas and locations where interest is in demand. This approach has allowed us to tap into the most valuable resource we have, our artists. in mind we added

We are empowering these dedicated instructors to make strong local and regional connections while expanding their personal studio practice. They are simultaneously engaging in educational opportunities at Universities, Community Art Centers as well as through our retail partners.

Our Core objectives are to:

1. Educate and introduce artists in your region to the fundamental methods of working with encaustic paint and Pigment Sticks® through both in-depth comprehensive and process specific workshops.

2. Provide support to local art retailers with in-store demonstration events for both customers and staff.

3. Foster new interest in the medium by presenting materials talks at local Colleges and Universities.

4. Engage educators in professional development and/or outreach.
