The juror and theme for the exhibition to accompany the Third National Conference of Encaustic Painting at Montserrat has just been posted. You can get more info on the conference blogsite,

. The juror is Nick Capasso, Senior Curator at the DeCordova Museum, New England's leading museum for contemporary art
. The theme is "Beauty and its Opposites"
. The challenge: Can you go beyond the beauty of the wax?
. There is no fee to submit, but you must be registered for the conference by April 1, the date by which the entries are due at the college
. A prospectus will be posted on the conference blogsite by the end of the year

Also, I'm posting new information almost daily. The best registration prices are in effect through the end of October. Already 60 people have registered for the conference. I'm capping registration at 250.
