PHOTO ENCAUSTIC WORKSHOP

In this workshop we will explore a variety of techniques to combine elements of photography with encaustic painting. We will look at printing photos on a variety of papers such as fine art paper, rice papers and found papers. Printing techniques will allow us to both embed and transfer images to the surface of the wax. We will also cover basic fusing techniques with a variety of heat sources and discuss presentation options for finished works.

All levels are welcome to join and all materials are included in the registration fee.

Supplies: All materials are included in the supply fee. Please bring a roll of paper towel and your photo files on a jump drive or cd for printing.
