Here's a new forum

Hi Everybody,

Seems like there are many new groups forming and workshops happening, so we thought it would be good to have a designated place to list them.

So, have at it!

An encaustic artist for over 30 years, I have taught workshops in encaustic techniques across the state  for the Virginia Museum and the Virginia Commission for the Arts, to children and adults. Re: Here's a new forum

I have been to Costa Rica many times. It is the most glorious place to visit.
When I am there I am always inspired so I am pleased to have arranged a
Mixed Media Workshop with Lisa Pressman in Costa Rica
Feb 10-18th, 2012
Using a variety of materials including soft pastels, oil pastel, pigment sticks and more, this workshop will focus on experimenting, exploring markmaking and personal imagery. Set in a tropical paradise on the Guanacoste peninsula you will be inspired by an open air studio, foliage, and wild life , students will be working in the studio from 9-2. Afternoons can be spent back in the studio, relaxing at the pool or exploring the beaches and villages.

Please email: lpart@earthlink.net for more details

The package includes
Airport/Hotel Transfers Roundtrip from San Jose (all must arrive the same day).
8 Nights Lodging in Double room - Arca de Noe Hotel, Javilla, San Miguel, Nandayure, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.
All Meals
Walk to Meditation Labrynth
Tours of the Local Villages, Cultures and Beaches

Re: Here's a new forum

I live in Louisiana and there is a serious lack of, any kind of, art workshop here. sad In an endeavor to mitigate that tragedy, I am now teaching three levels of encaustic workshops. I teach them through several art organizations, as well as at my personal studio. smile
For more information about my workshops, please check out my website
