I am presenting the following two day Encaustic Workshops that offer a contemporary approach to the ancient medium of painting with molten beeswax.
Classes are small with a lot of personal attention and guidance.  Cost is $220 for two days including most materials.

April 21 & 22, June 9 & 10
Introductory Classes: Students will work with color, transparency, manipulation and texturing of the wax surface, layering, oil stick, collage, and mixed-media. 
These classes are open to all levels.

May 8 & 9
Encaustic on paper:  Students will experiment with application of encaustic on various papers and explore the beautiful variety of effects. We will incorporate oil stick and various drawing elements as well.  Each student will make a sample book for future reference.  Experience with encaustic is required.
