R&F Handmade Paints

Bring an R&F workshop to your venue. R&F will send all the materials and equipment needed, along with one of our trained instructors. Traveling workshops follow the same format as R&F’s 3-Day Comprehensive Workshops, giving participants a thorough introduction to the encaustic medium and method - from traditional to experimental techniques. Artists with backgrounds in almost any medium will find these workshops are an exciting opportunity to expand their visual vocabulary with wax. The dynamic created by this diverse mix of artists contributes to the learning experience and discovery of new techniques and applications. Regularly scheduled demonstrations are interspersed with plenty of time for hands-on-experience. Class size is determined by the host, but is ideally not larger than 12 participants.

Cost: $3,500 (plus lodging for instructor)

Host does all the administrative work associated with organizing the workshop, including:

• Follow R&F’s guidelines to assure that the studio space has ample electricity and ventilation for encaustic
• Promote the workshop to your community, administer student registrations, and maintain waiting list. You can hand-pick participants, or open it up to anyone – your choice.
• Distribute R&F materials list, directions to studio, and basic workshop information to students
• Provide lodging for instructor
• Make sure the studio is clean and ready for the instructor to set up
  

R&F will take it from there, providing:

• Instructor (we cover instructors travel expenses)
• All materials and equipment, including ample supply of R&F Encaustics, heated tools and Pigment Sticks
• Materials list for students
• R&F technical info packets for students
