Opening Reception Saturday, August 4th from 5-7pm Exhibition Runs through September 22nd, 2012
Nancy Natale takes a unique approach to bricolage, and is best known for her rhythmic Running Stitch series; a group of works composed of strips of painted paper and cardboard with embedded objects, cultural snippets and industrial fragments pieced together horizontally on wooden panels and overlaid by grids of functional tacks. This series alludes metaphorically to the way memories are built, and the added resonance of found objects reflects a gritty reality and worn beauty developed by time.
