R&F Collaborates with High Shool in Unique Art Program

R&F has been participating in a truly innovative class at Kingston High School, just a few blocks from our facilities. Developed by art teacher Lara Giordano and chemistry teacher Christine Marmo, the class teaches chemistry to art students in a way that they can relate it to their art work. R&F has presented talks to the class on the chemistry of paint materials and then hosted the students in our workshop room to show them how those abstract principles of paint chemistry apply  to encaustic painting.

The class was featured this week on the front page of the Kingston Daily Freeman. The article describes this unique collaboration between two academic disciplines and how they relate to the outside world through arts organizations and business.
