Peninsula Art School is pleased to be partnering with R&F Handmade Paints to bring you this unique introductary encaustic workshop.  This 4-day workshop will begin with a thorough introduction to the encaustic method, including health and safety issues, and will then focus on a variety of collage approaches with wax. Whatever your medium of choice, this workshop will expand your visual vocabulary with a thorough introduction to encaustic and its methods - from classic to experimental. Discover new wax process techniques and applications with a diverse group of students whose input contributes to your learning experience. Learn about basic materials, equipment and formulas, as well as safety procedures and studio set-up. Create with a variety of techniques, including: image transfer, collage, transparent glazes, building texture, combining oil and encaustic, and many more.
