Visiting Artist Workshop / Following the Thread: Our Road to Discovery / Howard Hersch / October 2nd-4th / 3 Day

Our Visiting Artist Series was introduced into our educational program in 2009.  R&F invites some of the most exciting artists working with encaustic from across the country to come and present a workshop in our state-of-the-art studio facility.  These workshops are intended for experienced encaustic painters who are looking to add to their artist toolbox, or are interested in the practice of a specific guest artist.

Workshop Description:
The aim of this three day workshop will be more of mentoring rather than teaching. This is a rare opportunity to work with visiting artist, Howard Hersh, whose career spans nearly thirty years, and who has worked in encaustic for most of those years. Howard's mindful approach to his own work is well known and respected, and he brings a wealth of experience and stories to share with participants.
