Re: When will they dry?

You are not missing anything, Nan; they are a slow-drying paint. The drying time varies, sometimes greatly, for different colors, intense carbon black being one of the slowest to dry. We do, however, make a blending stick with drier for those who would like to speed things along.

Re: When will they dry?

some colors will take months to dry. I suggest not even using the blacks. They take far too long to dry.  Unless you are painting over encaustic, which really seems to help drying time.

Re: When will they dry?

That's not a very nice suggestion, doodler. Some artists believe they are worth the wait.

Re: When will they dry?

OK, thanks - does the blender stick have a dryer in it - it that the dryer you referred to and also what about putting a little Liquin onto the substrate when working - wouldn't that help the drying?

Re: When will they dry?

I'm dipping the end of my stick in a bit of Liquin (or similar) and then start working with them - helps the drying time
