Cari Hernandez

R&F Core Instructor

Cari Hernandez was born and raised in the Bay Area of Northern California. She studied fine art photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. Prior to becoming a full-time studio artist, Cari operated and owned a commercial photography studio for 7 years in San Francisco, CA.

As a full-time artist Cari teaches, lectures, and shows her work in the US and abroad. She is also a founding board member of International Encaustic Artists (IEA), and served as the creator and director of the first three annual retreat & conferences in Carmel Valley, CA. Her teaching methods are featured in two instructional DVDs as well as several publications.
