Why should I take an R&F workshop?

Our workshops balance thorough presentations with ample work time, as well as substantial material access. Spaces are carefully vetted to ensure proper ventilation and electrical needs and our instructors are trained to present methods in ways that promote responsibility towards health and safety.

What is the right workshop for me?

  • Beginner: Our Encaustic Mini workshops and Saturday Labs are designed to get you started with simple instructions and fundamental techniques. Our local and regional Comprehensive workshops are also appropriate for beginners.

  • Novice:

Recommended for artists familiar with basic encaustic and Pigment Stick techniques who would like to expand their skills in terms of fusing, collage, mixed media, layering texture, etc.

  • Intermediate:

Technique-specific workshops designed for artists already familiar with the medium who have a strong understanding of basic techniques. Best suited for artists that would like to begin a new body of work, gain insight from a visiting artist, or more deeply explore the mediums.

  • Advanced:

For those artists well established in their studio practices. Our focus goes beyond the scope of technique-based instruction. In Advanced Teaching and Advanced Consultation, we work with individuals on advancing their careers as artists.

If you have any questions regarding a workshop call 1-800-206-8088 or email Sean Noonan, Workshop Coordinator, at seann@rfpaints.com.
