Dale O. Roberts’ work explores the still life, urban, and rural landscape with painterly representation. Roberts has a BFA in painting and drawing from the Tyler School of Art. He has had numerous solo shows, exhibiting both nationally and internationally and has taught many workshops throughout the United States, including at the International Encaustic Conference, The Willingboro Art Alliance, and The Wallingford Art Center. Roberts has also taught internationally, most recently in the summer of 2016 as an Artist-In-Residence in Tetouan, Morocco. www.dalerobertsencaustic.com


Dietlind Vander Schaaf

Dietlind Vander Schaaf holds an MFA from the University of San Francisco and an MA from the University of Southern Maine. Her work has been described as “the transformation of disparate objects into elegantly simple compositions of pattern and grace” (Artscope). She has exhibited nationally and was featured in the April 2016 Maine Home + Design profile “One to Watch” on standout artists in Maine. Dietlind is a Core Instructor for R&F, the former president of New England Wax, and the recipient of grants from the Maine Arts Commission and International Encaustic Artists, as well as a Tending Space Artist Fellowship from the Hemera Foundation. www.dietlindvanderschaaf.com

Kate Collyer has taught predominantly at the higher education level, but also in area public schools, working with students in kindergarten through 12th grade. A printmaker and visual artist, she has exhibited nationally and internationally, including the SMTG Krakow Printmaking Triennial Main Exhibition in Poland. She was the 2014 recipient of the Southern Graphics Council International Graduate Fellowship Award and a 2016 Artist-In-Residence at The Arctic Circle. As an art educator, she has presented and taught at the International Encaustic Conference, the Loomis Chaffee School, and Women's Studio Workshop. An emerging artist, her work was featured in the 2009 Kingston Sculpture Biennial, and she has completed several mural commissions. Kelly enjoys working with other artists to creatively problem solve, combining Encaustic and Pigment Sticks with sculptural methods. She earned her BFA in Sculpture from SUNY New Paltz in 2007. Laura Moriarty creates sculptural paintings, prints, and installations that resonate with the geologic. Before taking up encaustic, Laura received training in hand papermaking and printmaking from Women's Studio Workshop. Lisa Pressman earned her BA in Art from Douglass College, Rutgers University and her MFA from Bard College. Her work focuses on a visual synthesis of stored and personal memory. Her work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries nationally and internationally. Lisa is a Core Instructor for R&F Handmade Paints and a workshop instructor for Gamblin Artists Colors. Leslie Giuliani

Leslie Giuliani has been an art instructor for over 25 years and works with a range of media from egg tempera to encaustic and digital embroidery. She has taught privately, at arts centers, colleges, and museums. Her work is in the collections of the State of Connecticut and The Hall-Brooke Institute for Behavioral Studies. Leslie’s work has been featured in two international encaustic biennial exhibitions. Lorraine Glessner

Lorraine Glessner’s love of surface, pattern, mark-making, image, and landscape has led her to combine disparate materials and processes such as silk, wood, branding, rust, paper, and more in her work. Lorraine holds an MFA from Tyler School of Art, a BS from Philadelphia University, and an AAS in Computer Graphics from Moore College of Art & Design. Among her many achievements, she did an artist residency at The Jentel Foundation and her work was acquired by the Kelsey-Seybold Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. lorraineglessner.net





Sarah Rehmer was born and still resides in the western suburbs of Chicago. Rehmer received a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography from Dominican University in River Forest, IL. She began working with the deconstructed book as a metaphor for memory while auditing a course at Dominican after graduation. Sarah's work has been shown nationally and is in institutional and corporate collections in Illinois and New York. She is an Illinois Arts Council Professional Development Grant recipient and has been a visiting artist at numerous high schools and colleges in Chicago. rehmer-studio.com





Caryl St. Ama has worked with oil, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, and installation, as well as encaustic. She concentrated on three-dimensional paintings involving raw wool felting for her undergraduate show at Texas State University and was inspired by weather phenomena for her MFA thesis show at Claremont Graduate University. Caryl is a Core Instructor for R&F and a tenured professor at Glendale College where she teaches Painting and Life Drawing and directs the Gallery program. She maintains a studio in South Pasadena, California. carylstama.com

Pamela W. Wallace worked as a physician until closing her practice to pursue a BA in painting, followed by two years of study in printmaking. Her work utilizes encaustic, Pigment Sticks, and collagraph printing techniques to create art that reflects her background in science and her engagement with nature. Pamela’s work is in collections across the United States and she has shown widely, including at Mid-Atlantic New Painting and Lanoue Fine Art.
